Cookie Policy
What this covers
This explains the cookies and similar browser storage VetXpress uses, what each one is for, and how the choice you make in the cookie prompt controls them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers the personal data you give us directly (name, phone, delivery address) rather than browser-level storage.
Essential, always on
These keep the site working and can't be switched off. They cover staying logged in to your account (a session cookie set by our authentication provider), remembering the choice you made in the cookie prompt itself, and remembering what's in your cart between visits.
Preferences
If you allow this category, we remember your selected store/delivery location and currency in your browser, so you don't have to re-enter them on every visit. If you don't allow it, we ask again each new visit.
Analytics
If you allow this category, we use Vercel Analytics for basic page-view counts, and our own first-party tracking to see which steps of ordering customers complete or drop off at, so we can find and fix friction points. No name, phone number, or address is ever included in this data, only anonymous, session-based usage patterns.
Marketing
If you allow this category, we load the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, which lets us measure how well our ads perform and show you more relevant VetXpress ads on those platforms. This is the only category that shares any browsing activity with a third party.
Changing your mind
Your choice is remembered in your browser for up to a year. You can update it at any time using the Manage Cookie Preferences link below, no need to clear your browser's cookies. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser's settings, though this will likely prevent staying logged in and keeping items in your cart.
